How to change the battery of a Hyundai/Kia remote control

To perform the operation, you will need a CR2032 battery, which can be easily obtained from any supermarket or electronics store. First, remove the physical emergency key by locating the release lever on the side of the remote (usually near the base). Press the lever while simultaneously pulling out the metal blade. With the blade removed, you will see a slot where it was inserted: insert a small flathead screwdriver into the slot and gently pry apart the two halves. Now you can see the CR2032 battery: check the polarity to ensure you insert the new battery in the same position, and replace it. Reattach the rear half of the remote, pressing evenly along the edges, and reinsert the emergency key.
