Lift the car on jack stands and remove the protective panel from the oil pan, then proceed to unscrew the drain plug and let the old oil flow into a container, then tighten the plug again. Remember that used motor oil must be disposed of following proper regulations and not thrown in household waste. Next, locate the filter and remove it along with its housing. Extract the old cartridge, insert the new one, and also change the O-ring before reassembling it. Finally, all that’s left to do is pour the new oil through the designated opening in the hood.
