We reset the maintenance light if we have recently replaced the oil and filter. Let's get into the cockpit, sit on the driverâ € ™ s seat. We turn on the instrument panel with the key (we do not have to start the car engine). When the instrument panel display lights up, we check the maintenance warning light (instrument panel display). We use the up / down buttons located to the right of the steering wheel. We scroll through the menu writings until we reach SERVICE. Keep the button pressed steadily until the warning light is completely reset: the actual km of the car will appear on the information display.

How do you replace the battery of the BMW R 1250 GS?

In order to replace the battery of the BMW R 1250 GS it is necessary to loosen the bolts that secure the casing positioned on the left side of the bike, so that its cover can be removed. Once this has been removed, you will be able to access the components below, including the battery. The latter must be removed from its housing by disconnecting the power cables and unscrewing the appropriate fixing bolts. In this way it will be possible to insert a new battery, properly fixing it and connecting it to the relative cables, covering everything with the casing.
