To replace the front brake pads on a Kia Sportage, lift the vehicle using a jack or ramp so that the corresponding wheel is off the ground. This will allow you to loosen the bolts securing the wheel to the hub and completely remove it. After removing the wheel, unscrew the bolts of the brake caliper at the rear to detach it from the disc and slide out the pads inside. Once removed, you can reinstall all previously removed components.
