Replacing Front Discs and Pads

Model: Kia Sportage MK 2, KM - Years 2004-2010

Once the vehicle is lifted on the ramp, remove the front wheel and then the brake caliper from its support; remove the worn pads and detach the caliper support to access the disc. Unscrew the disc retaining bolts (a impact screwdriver may be useful) and remove it with a few taps of a hammer. Install the new disc after cleaning it of protective oil residue, secure it by tightening the retaining bolts, reattach the caliper support, insert the new pads, and push back the caliper piston before repositioning it.
