Replacement of Front Brake Pads

Model: Kia Sportage JA, MK 1 - Years 1993-2002

Lift the vehicle at the front with a jack and remove the wheel (it is advisable to use an axle stand for safety).
There is no need to retract the pads with a C-clamp before removing the caliper; therefore, unscrew the rear mounting pins of the caliper and slide it off its seat; remove the old pads and clean the bracket with appropriate cleaning spray to eliminate any residues; retract the caliper piston using a C-clamp; insert the new pads and then the caliper, applying copper grease to facilitate movement and secure the caliper by tightening the respective mounting pins. Pay attention during the first braking.
