Power Steering Pump Belt Replacement

Model: Kia Rio DE, MK 2 - Years 2005-2011

The vehicle is equipped with two auxiliary belts: one toothed belt dedicated solely to the power steering pump and another ribbed belt that drives the alternator, water pump, and air conditioning compressor. The ribbed belt is located in front of the power steering belt, so both must be removed; it is advisable to replace both. Loosen the alternator fixing bolt and the tensioner bolt to slacken and remove the belt. Also, loosen the fixing bolts of the power steering pump to slide it backwards and remove this belt as well. Then, fit the new power steering belt and the new alternator belt, routing them through the various pulleys, and tension them using the appropriate adjusters.
