Replacing Front Shock Absorber Springs

Model: Kia Sorento MK 1 - Years 2002-2009

To replace the front shock absorber springs, you need to remove the shock absorbers themselves: lift the vehicle, remove the front wheel and the upper suspension arm ball joint from the hub support; remove the fixing pin of the shock absorber eye from the lower arm to access the engine bay and remove the air filter box to access the fixing pins of the shock absorber support and extract it from its housing; compress the spring with clamps to remove the support from the shaft and extract it; apply the clamps to the new spring and secure it to the shock absorber, then reverse the process for installation on the vehicle.
