To reset the Service light on a Kia Sportage, insert the ignition key into the ignition barrel and turn it to position one. Once this is done, turn it back to switch off the ignition. Repeat this procedure five times.

After that, you can turn on the instrument cluster, checking that the Service light has been reset and that the maintenance interval has been restored. At the end of the procedure, you can finally switch off the instrument cluster.
