How to Reset the TPMS on a Kia Sportage

In this video, you will learn how to reset the TPMS on the Kia Sportage. First, check the pressure of all four tyres using the owner's manual or the label on the driver's door frame. Then, turn on the ignition without starting the engine, just activating the electrical components. Many Kia Sportage models have a TPMS reset button located inside the glove compartment, near the steering column; refer to your vehicle's manual to locate it precisely. Once found, press and hold it for 5 to 10 seconds. This duration is usually sufficient unless a longer time is specified for your model (as indicated in the owner's manual). While holding the button, watch the warning light: if it flashes, the system is resetting, after which you can release the button. Now, drive your vehicle for a short distance at about 20 miles per hour (32 km/h) to register the pressure in the system. After driving, the TPMS light should turn off; if it remains on, repeat the entire procedure.
