In the KIA Sportage, the tailgate may become stuck, for example, due to a problem with the lock actuator or the release button. In these cases, you can still perform an emergency opening by following the simple procedure shown in this tutorial.

First, unlock the locks with the remote control, then open the rear doors and lower the backrest of the seat by operating the relevant lever. Next, go inside the boot, remove the small indicated panel, and manually unlock the lock.
