In the KIA Sportage, it may happen that the tailgate of the trunk gets stuck, for example due to a problem with the lock actuator or the unlock button. In these cases, we can still perform the emergency opening by following the simple procedure shown in this tutorial. First, unlock the locks with the remote control, then open the rear doors and lower the backrest of the sofa by activating the corresponding lever. Then go inside the trunk, remove the small panel indicated, and manually unlock the lock.
