Today, you will see a very simple operation: replacing the brake pads on a KTM 390. On this motorcycle model, you do not even need to remove the caliper from the disc to extract the pads (although it may make the job easier), but as shown in the video, it is sufficient to remove the pin that holds the pads inside the caliper. To do this, first detach the clip that secures the pin in place. Then remove the pin and take out the pads. Before inserting the new ones, use a screwdriver or another tool of your choice to lever inside the pad housing to widen the space. This is necessary because the new pads will obviously be much thicker than the ones removed.
