Model: Ktm Super Duke 1290 R
In today's video we will see how to remove and replace the rear brake pads of a KTM SuperDuke 1290 R. First of all, let's remove the locking pin of the pads, using a pliers with spikes; after which we remove the central pin going to strike, making it come out. At this point we use a screwdriver or torx wrench to remove the brake caliper screws; we just have to remove the brake caliper from the disc and remove the old pads. Before reassembling the caliper, clean it from carbon residues and lever inside the caliper to allow the piston to retract.
