The DIY procedure for replacing the engine oil and oil filter is quite simple; let’s see how to carry out the routine maintenance service on the KTM EXC-F 500. First, place the bike on a stand and start by unscrewing the oil drain bolt located under the engine, allowing it to drain into a container for about ten minutes; remove and clean the small oil filter, as shown in the video.

Now, unscrew the bolts of the main oil filter cover, removing and replacing the cartridge with a new one; finally, pour in the new oil!
