To replace the piston on a KTM EXC 125, you need to remove the engine from its housing by unscrewing the bolts that secure it to its mounts; once the engine block is removed, you can unscrew the bolts that secure the cylinder at the top, completely removing it to access the piston underneath. The piston can be detached from the con rod by removing the retaining ring: this way, you can insert the new piston, securing it to the con rod and reassembling the cylinder and engine.
