First, remove the scooter's battery (unfortunately, the only access is from here, behind the under-seat compartment) by unscrewing the battery compartment fixing bolts and disconnecting the terminals (always start with the negative). Voila! Now you can access the rear brake light bulb. In this scooter model, the challenge lies in finding access to the bulb, as you cannot reach it from the rear as is usually the case. Once the battery is removed, simply unscrew the bulb and pull it out of its socket, then reverse the process for reassembly.
