How to Replace the Battery on a Kymco AK 550

To replace the battery on a Kymco AK 550, you need to loosen the screws that secure the front fairing of the bike, located just below the windscreen. The screws for this fairing will be found on the inside, just above the handlebars.

Once the screws for this panel are loosened, you can completely detach it and access the battery underneath; the battery can then be removed from its location by disconnecting the cables and loosening the screws. At this point, you can insert the new battery and cover everything back up with the panel.
