Operation: How to disassemble the shock absorber spring in a Lada Niva.

In this video tutorial we can see how to disassemble the shock absorber spring in a Lada Niva, following some simple steps: the first thing to do is to lift the car with a hydraulic jack and place safety stands. Disassemble the wheel and remove it from its seat (place the wheel under the car to increase safety while working). Remove the stabilizer bar; place a jack underneath to facilitate the operation. Second step we must unscrew the nut of the shock absorber, from 17 (use two wrenches of 17); once this is done, the underside is held only by the jack; In a delicate way now we have to position the supports (see video) to hold the spring in tension (be careful not to let the spring escape, because it could hurt you, it is dangerous). Once the supports are positioned on the spring, we tighten and hold them in tension, to keep the spring in tension; when we remove the jack the part below reaches the ground, to facilitate the extraction of the spring. As for the shock absorber, once the 17 screws have been removed, just lift it a little with a screwdriver and it immediately comes out of its seat.
