Replace the oil and filter on a Lancia Ypsilon. This is a straightforward operation if you follow the correct steps. Lift the vehicle using a column lift or jack, unscrew the oil sump bolt with a socket wrench; let the fluid drain into a disposal container and re-screw the sump bolt. Remove the filter next to the oil sump using a chain wrench. Lower the vehicle and open the bonnet, securing it with the metal rod; top up the engine with new oil and check the level with the dipstick and a cloth.
