Removing the Hydraulic Pistons of the Tailgate on Lancia Ypsilon

Lift the car's tailgate and first place a hydraulic jack underneath to support it. This will prevent it from falling when the support pistons are removed. Use a medium-small flat screwdriver to lever inside the upper attachment of the tailgate, as shown in the video. Once the clip is removed, simply pull out the piston and you're done. Repeat the same operation on the lower clip and the other side of the tailgate. For fitting the new pistons, simply slot the attachments into the car's mounts by applying pressure with your hands.
