Installing an AUX Cable on Lancia Ypsilon 846 (2011)

Installing an AUX cable on the car radio will allow you to play tracks stored on your smartphone or MP3 player; first, check that the original car radio is compatible with the AUX cable installation: if pressing the MEDIA button on the display shows 'NO SOURCE AVAILABLE', then the radio is compatible; once confirmed, purchase an aftermarket AUX cable that has a blue mini ISO connector and proceed to remove the radio from its housing by inserting the appropriate keys into the relevant holes until it releases; however, before connecting the AUX cable, you need to bridge pins 13 and 14 with a piece of wire; once the connector is inserted, route the cable to allow the jack to exit from the glove compartment or under the console and reattach the radio; at this point, pressing the MEDIA button on the display will show 'AUX', and your smartphone will be ready to use.
