How to Unlock the Automatic Transmission of the Land Rover Discovery Sport

This guide shows how to perform an emergency unlock of the automatic transmission of the Land Rover Sport. After securing the vehicle, from the right side of the engine bay, disconnect the air intake and remove the engine air filter box; to do this, you need to detach the air hose and the mass air flow sensor connector. At the bottom of the created space, you will see the transmission unlock lever. To release the locking system, pull the lever toward the left headlamp and secure it in position with a small screwdriver or a pin. At this point, the vehicle is in neutral and can be moved.
