The first step is to remove the emergency key, then use the same key to pry at the junction between the remote and the cover, and then remove the cover.

Under the cover, you will find the circuit board and underneath it, the battery compartment. Proceed to remove and replace the battery with the new one, keeping the positive terminal facing up. Finally, reposition the circuit board and close the cover.
