Start by removing the rear mudguard, which has a cross-head screw on the right side of the scooter and two Allen screws on the left side that secure it to the exhaust. Once done, also remove the air filter by unscrewing the two screws with a 5 mm Allen key. Unscrew the two lower bolts and the two upper ones: it doesn't matter which you start with, it will be obvious that to unscrew the first bolt, you will need to hold its opposite with a spanner. Remove the old shock absorber and clean the two mounting points on the frame and casing thoroughly, then fit the new shock absorber by reversing the process.
