How to change the key fob battery of a Mazda CX-7. Take your key fob and press the metal key release button. Once the metal key is out, use a screwdriver to pry between the two covers of the key (in the space where the metal key fits). Pry until the two covers separate, then extract the worn battery with a small screwdriver, take a new one of the same size and voltage. Reassemble the cover on your key fob by pressing on the key case until you hear it click into place, joining the two covers. Check the proper functioning of the key fob by pressing the buttons.
