How do you replace the battery in a Mazda CX-7 key fob? Take your key fob and press the metal key release button. Once the metal key pops out, use a screwdriver to pry between the two covers of the key until they separate (in the space where the metal key fits). Pry until the two covers come apart, then, using a small screwdriver, remove the battery; take a new one of the same size and voltage. Reassemble the cover on your key fob by pressing the key case until you hear it click into place, joining the two covers. Check the correct operation of the key fob.
