How to Remove the Struts from a Mazda 2

Are the struts on your Mazda 2 faulty? Here’s how to remove and replace the struts on a rear hatch. Lift the hatch and secure it (use supports during the removal of the struts). Use a screwdriver to remove the securing clips at both ends of the strut. Detach the worn strut and install the new piece in the two mounts. Secure the strut with the metal clips. Repeat the same process for the removal/installation of the opposite strut. Test the operation of the struts after installation.
