Front Shock Absorber and Link Replacement

Model: Mazda 3 BK, MK 1 - Years 2003-2009

Lift the vehicle on suitable axle stands, remove the front wheel; disconnect the speed sensor and the brake fluid pipe from the shock absorber support bracket. Lubricate the fixing nuts of the link before proceeding with disassembly: lock the ball joint pin with an Allen key and unscrew the nut. Unscrew the fixing pins of the shock absorber at the hub and the one fixing the driveshaft; widen the clamp where the shock absorber is housed to facilitate its extraction by tapping on the support itself. Access the engine bay to complete the disassembly of the shock absorber. At this point, using suitable clamps, compress the shock absorber spring to transfer it to the new one (it is advisable to also replace the upper support). Proceed with the installation of the new shock absorber and link.
