Front Shock Absorber Replacement

Model: Mazda 3 BK, MK 1 - Years 2003-2009

Lift the vehicle on suitable axle stands, remove the front wheel, and pre-lubricate the bolts to be removed with penetrating spray. Proceed to remove the shock absorber by disconnecting the drop link, the support bracket for the brake fluid pipe, the bolts securing it to the hub, and the bolt securing the rod to the support (accessing from the engine bay).
Once the suspension is removed, use suitable clamps to compress the spring, remove the support, and transfer it to the new shock absorber: it is advisable to also replace the support. Reposition the shock absorber in its place and tighten everything.
