Before you can begin, open the rear door of your Mazda CX-5. Start by unclipping and removing the inserts from the door panel using a thin but sturdy tool. Once done, unscrew and remove the screws securing the rear door panel. After removing the screws, the door panel will be free. Next, unclip and remove the rear door panel. At this point, disconnect the electrical connector and the handle cable, and the disassembly will be complete.
