First, find the reference pressure values, which are not those indicated on the tyre, but those shown on the driver's door pillar, indicated in PSI (the measure used in Anglo-Saxon countries) and in Bar (the measure used in EU countries). The measurement should be done on cold tyres: remove the cap from the valve, press the gauge onto the valve, read the value on the display, and repeat for all four tyres. Adjust the pressure by inflating if it is too low, and releasing air if it is too high. Replace all the caps. The TPMS warning light will turn off automatically after a few miles of driving.
