Useful tools for this operation include: a new pump suitable for the vehicle in question, a set of metric sockets, a ratchet and extension, a serpentine belt tool, a pry bar, a 10 mm spanner, a torque wrench, pliers, a drain bucket, replacement coolant, a jack, and jack stands.

The first step is to drain the existing fluid from the vehicle by raising it and opening the appropriate drain with a screwdriver.

Next, open the front bonnet and proceed to mechanically disassemble the components that are visible before the pump, using the appropriate tools. The procedure is theoretically simple as it consists of merely replacing the parts.
