The diesel filter is a consumable material, comparable to the oil filter, the oil itself, the air filter, and so on. After a certain number of kilometers traveled, it is necessary to proceed with its replacement, following the indications of the manufacturer. In the Volvo V40 d3, this filter is located in the rear of the car, under the tank, secured by a bolted bracket. First, the inlet and outlet pipes of the diesel must be disconnected, the electrical connector must be removed, the aforementioned bracket must be removed, and finally, the new filter must be installed.
