How to replace the air filter on the Volvo XC90

Let's see how to replace the engine air filter on a Volvo XC90. First, open the hood and notice that the air filter assembly is located on the front left side of the engine compartment: it is a rectangular black plastic box. On the airbox cover, there are six Torx T25 screws distributed along the perimeter. These are self-tapping screws, so it is not necessary to unscrew them completely; just loosen them. Lift the cover and place it to the side, leaving it attached to the intake tube. Remove the old filter and clean the housing thoroughly of dust and debris, then take the new filter and pay attention to the orientation of the arrows, which should point toward the engine. Align the filter properly in the box and then close the cover, fastening the screws without overtightening.
