Removal and replacement of the water pump on a Mazda 6

In this video, we will see how to replace the water pump of a 2007 Mazda 6 (6 cylinders). We remove the engine cover, remove the air filter, disconnect the MAF sensor and the air tube, loosen the clamps and move the filter.

We remove the side protective covers, disconnect the radiator tubes and move them sideways, then remove the pulley (which obstructs 2 bolts of the pump). The pump is secured with 8 bolts (3 are longer than the others: remember the position).

We remove the old pump and clean the contact surface. We install the new pump that we found on E-Bay with the code 266638320635 at the price of 41.19 euros, free delivery.

We reinsert the pulley using 3 washers and a bolt to press it gradually; mount the drive belt (check if it is worn, and replace it if necessary. Now reconnect all the components previously removed.
