How to Replace the Engine Mount Damper

Model: Mazda 6 GG, MK 1 - Years 2002-2008
Part: Engine

First, disconnect and lift the bonnet. Now, using a socket spanner, start removing the bolts that secure the mount. It is crucial to support your engine in some other way with spacers underneath. Continue removing the last bolts to take off the upper sump and extract the damper. Now, simply replace the damper by removing the final bolts that secure it to the bodywork. Finally, install the new damper and retrace your steps to reassemble the various components.
