How to Remove the Steering Wheel with Airbag from a Mazda 6

How do you remove the steering wheel from a Mazda 6? First, disconnect the battery cables. Use a socket to unscrew the fastening screws of the side and lower trim of the steering wheel, then remove the airbag by unscrewing the screws. Once the airbag is removed, take out the central anchor pin. Before proceeding, mark the fastening position with a marker (this will help with reassembly). Next, disconnect the power connectors and pull the steering wheel off with your hands. To reassemble, follow the steps in reverse.
