Periodically, like all cars, it is necessary to replace the battery. Ensure you purchase the correct replacement; the battery for the Mazda CX-3 is a start-stop battery, so it is advisable to consult a trusted parts dealer.

To replace the battery, access the battery compartment by opening the front bonnet. Locate the two terminals of the old battery, uncover the covers that conceal the clamps, and obtain a cross-head screwdriver.

Unscrew the screw on each terminal to loosen the clamps and disconnect them, taking care not to lose any screws or bolts. Remove the old battery and position the new one. Tighten the clamps again and reattach the covers.

Make sure to dispose of the battery correctly; return it to your parts dealer who will ensure it is disposed of by specialised companies.
