Replacing Front Brake Pads and Discs

Model: Mazda 6 MK 1, GG - Years 2002-2008

Lift the vehicle on suitable axle stands and remove the front wheel; then unscrew the mounting pins of the brake caliper bracket to allow the removal of the disc; proceed to remove the disc mounting pin and take it off the hub; retract the brake caliper piston using a C-clamp or a simple adjustable spanner; insert the new pads into the caliper, fit the new disc onto the hub, and remount the brake caliper. Pay attention during the initial braking to bed in the new disc-pad pairing.
