The guide shows how to change the engine oil and related filter of the Mazda CX5 Mk2. After opening the bonnet and unscrewing the oil tank filler cap, lift the vehicle and secure it. From the bottom of the vehicle, unscrew the fixing bolts and the plastic pin of the filter protection panel and unscrew the oil pan bleed bolt; during this procedure, place a container for the used oil. Refit the drain plug and unscrew the engine oil filter. Replace it with a new filter whose gasket has been lubricated with oil. Tighten it to the correct torque specified in the use and maintenance manual. Close the protective panel and lower the vehicle. Fill the tank with the correct quantity and type of oil specified in the user manual and turn the engine on for a few minutes. Check the correct fluid level and top up if necessary. Reset the maintenance warning light from the vehicle service menu, in the â € œApplicationsâ € and â € œMaintenanceâ € tab.
