To remove the external rearview mirror on a Mercedes E-Class, you need to completely remove the corresponding door panel: use a tool to pry off the trim at the top right of the panel and the center trim, loosening the screws underneath. Once these screws are loosened, you can detach the panel and locate the screws that secure the corresponding mirror: this will also allow you to disconnect the connectors related to the mirror, enabling you to insert the new replacement part and reassemble all the removed components.
