Today's procedure will show you how to remove and replace the ashtray in the Mercedes E-Class by following these simple steps. First, get in the cabin and start by removing the cover at the base of the gear shift lever, prying it off from the sides and disconnecting the electrical connector.

Then, unscrew the screws securing the ashtray to remove it as shown in the video. At this point, you may also need to remove the air conditioning controls if necessary.

Finally, reassemble everything by applying the reverse procedure!
