How do you remove the steering wheel airbag of the Mercedes A-Class?

In order to remove the steering wheel airbag of the Mercedes A-Class, you need to turn the steering wheel itself so that you can locate the holes in its back, located just below the gear shift paddles: inside these holes you will need to insert a screwdriver, in order to unlock the clips that secure the airbag inside its housing. Once the airbag is freed, you will need to disconnect the connector inside to completely remove the old airbag and replace it with a new one; after the replacement, you can position the new airbag and secure it properly.
