To remove the steering wheel airbag from a Mercedes A-Class, turn the steering wheel so you can locate the holes on its back, just below the shift paddles: insert a screwdriver into these holes to unlock the clips that secure the airbag in place. Once the airbag is freed, disconnect the connector attached inside to completely remove the old airbag and replace it with a new one; after the replacement, position the new airbag and secure it properly.
