Detailed instructions - To change the battery of a Mercedes C-Class key, start by taking the key and locating the small button or lever on the side of the key. Press it or lift the lever to remove the metal key. Once the key is removed, use a thin tool like a flathead screwdriver to gently open the key shell. Inside, you will find the current battery. Carefully remove it using another small tool, such as a flathead screwdriver or tweezers. Make sure to note the orientation of the battery before removing it. Replace it with a new battery of the same type and size, making sure to insert it correctly with the same orientation as the original battery. Close the key shell and reinsert the metal key. Make sure the shell is closed properly to ensure a watertight seal. Finally, test the key to make sure it functions correctly.
