In this video we can see how to replace the guide, deflector, and roller blind on most Mercedes C-Class and E-Class vehicles with a panoramic roof. The guide is an original Mercedes part, so it must be purchased from a dealership. To remove the guide, first we need to lower the headliner - a rather simple task that does not require any special skills - then we need to remove the screws on the sides of the guide, as well as the air deflector, by pulling out the clips as shown in the video. We then need to remove the roller blind motor located in the roof, as well as the clips of the roller blind itself, which should now be detached. There are T15 screws underneath to remove that hold the guide rail, and from where we will remove a tube located at the back of the rail. This will allow us to lift the guide rail and cables, remembering the direction they were in. For installation, we must follow this order in reverse. Pay attention to the adjustment of the rear part, which should be flush, only after performing a normalization procedure using a simple diagnostic tool, connecting to the EOBD socket.
