Recalibration of the automatic transmission 5G and 7G-tronic Mercedes.

Here is a simple method to recalibrate the 5G or 7G-Tronic automatic transmission of a Mercedes. This system is useful if we have purchased a used car and our driving style is different from the previous owner's; we feel jerks during gear changes; the transmission tends to shift gears too late. However, this system will not solve mechanical problems with the transmission, but it only serves to reset the adaptive memory of the control unit. Get into the car and close all doors; turn on the dashboard and press the accelerator pedal all the way down, keeping it pressed for 30 seconds. While still holding down the pedal, turn off the ignition, then release the pedal. Wait 2 minutes without touching anything, then start the engine normally, driving for at least fifteen minutes with our usual driving style, during which the control unit learns our driving pattern.
