How to replace the auxiliary battery of a Mercedes CLA

The Mercedes CLA is equipped with an auxiliary battery that powers the electronic systems and Start/Stop. To replace it, you first need to locate its position, then open the passenger side door and remove the panel under the dashboard in the footwell area. At this point, you will have access to the auxiliary battery, so proceed by disconnecting the negative terminal first and then the positive terminal; remove the mounting bracket and then extract the battery. Insert the new battery in the same orientation and make sure to connect the positive terminal first and only then the negative terminal. Finally, reassemble the panel that was removed earlier.
