If your Mercedes Metris key no longer works due to a completely dead battery, don't worry as this guide describes all the steps you need to follow to replace it quickly and safely. First, purchase a new button battery (model CR2025), then take the vehicle remote and slide out the emergency key from the bottom of the cover. Next, remove the cover itself using the emergency key and locate the dead battery. Finally, replace it and reassemble the protective cover.
