How to remove the timing belt on a Mercedes Vito? First, lift the vehicle on a column lift, remove the front wheel, and use a screwdriver to take off the right wheel arch cover. Once these operations are completed: lift the bonnet, remove the engine soundproofing panel and the belt cover. Using a suitable spanner, loosen the tensioner pulley and slide the belt off its seat. Use a socket wrench to unscrew the tensioner pulley fastening bolt. Fit the new water pump (previously removed), the tensioner, and the belt itself, tightening everything with the socket wrench. Refit the rivets with the arch cover and remount the wheel.
