How to Factory Reset the 2017 Mercedes E-Class Radio

The Mercedes Comand system in the 2017 E-Class integrates audio, navigation, and climate control functions. Over time, issues like unresponsive touchscreens or Bluetooth connectivity problems may occur. In such cases, you can perform a software reboot or a factory reset. To perform a soft reboot, press the power button for 10 seconds; this will resolve temporary issues without deleting data. To perform a factory reset, press the Setup button. Select the general settings option, then the reset option, confirm, and wait for it to load; this resolves persistent issues. If the Comand system touchscreen is unresponsive, clean the screen with a soft microfiber cloth and a gentle screen cleaner, avoiding harsh chemicals that could damage the surface. For optimal performance, a factory reset should be performed every 31,000 miles.
